There are a number of subdivisions in the Tantallon area.  Tantallon has easy access to the new divided #103 Highway at exit 5.  Homes for sale in Tantallon vary according to age, size and location as you’d expect.  However with it’s great location 15 minutes to Halifax’s Bayers Lake and the freshly developing surrounding area make Tantallon subdivisions a great place to buy a home.  Facilities in Tantallon include grocery shops, gas, the Saint Margarets Centre with it’s sporting facilities, doctor and dentist offices and more. 

House prices vary with the size of the building lot age and house style so as always it is hard to put a general property price for Tantallon.  There are some lakefront and oceanfront properties in the Tantallon area.  A great deal of Tantallon is located along the Lighthouse Route on Hwy 333 (towards Peggys Cove) and Hwy 3 (towards Hubbards).  Saint Margarets Bay falls in the Tantallon area.  Lot sizes are generally ‘country’ sized.

There are excellent schools available in this area some almost brand new with excellent facilities.  The exact schools and their feeder schools will vary depending upon the area where you live.  The best avenue for determining which school for the home you are looking at is to directly access the Halifax School Board site at www.hrsb.ns.ca.

Commuting Times
