Both Porters Lake and Lake Echo are located about 20 minutes drive outside Dartmouth.  Both communities benefit from good transportation links via Highway #107 into Dartmouth, Halifax, Bedford and beyond.

Further east from Porters Lake and Lake Echo is Musquoduboit Harbour
at the far end of Higway #107.
